  • About the house

The Adolf-Clarenbach-Haus or Goebenstift (after Goebenstraße) is a Protestant theological seminary in Bonn’s Südstadt. At the moment we are 36 students and live in two neighbouring houses. Our student residence is run by the association Evangelisch-Theologisches Studienhaus Adolf-Clarenbach e.V. and is administered by the students themselves. It is named after Adolf Clarenbach, one of the first Protestant martyrs on the Lower Rhine.

The Adolf Clarenbach House can look back on almost 125 years of history. It has been on the verge of closure several times and has undergone numerous alterations and renovations. Today, the main and side buildings form a large, modern and lively residential building and are located at Goebenstraße 32-36 in Bonn’s Südstadt district.
